Happy Spring, everyone! I am lonely and need "followers"! If you like my work, I will send you a handmade collaged postcard absolutely FREE, if you become one of my "followers." I don't like that word because I don't consider myself a cult leader or movie star, and in fact I do not like being followed. But DO drop me a line, please, and I promise I will send you a postcard in return.

This book is called "The Earth is a Garden." It is made of sticks, tissue paper, dried leaves and flowers, feathers, yarn, and a ceremonial photograph from 1910.
Its contents poetically describe my approach to gardening.
The book stand is made from sticks, poppy pods, and shells. The entire structure is very fragile, as is our planet.

This is my most recent quilt, an adaptation of an old pattern called "spiderweb".
This is the back, with strange hybrid creatures captured in the quilted webs.
Detail of Catterfly woman.
Detail of the rare, long-legged, Turtlefoot Cardinal
Some of my first posts were of other Hybrid Creatures that I created in my laboratory during our long Chicago winters.
